great tape quality, but only average song selection and what i felt to be awkward pacing. for a sunday show it felt like a tuesday afternoon. thanks for getting this up here.

First time I saw Umph and was literally blown away. Download now and listen to Much Obliged and 40's theme which to me is one of the most intense pieces of music I'v heard. The Frontporch encore is also pretty sweet.

I was right next to Beaner with my rig, and I'll tell ya - we were definitely in the sweet spot! This was no doubt a audience tape, and it rules. Also, to those thumbing your noses at this show - it kicked the whole night, and if you werent there, then maybe you just arent getting the full effect. This show kicked butt. There were at least 5+ Team Pittsburgh tapers there, which ruled as well. We need a tape-off, dangit!

Subject: I was at this show too...
Yeah, i hear what everyone's saying about the show being a touch sub-par, but really, it was just different. I've been to enough UM shows to know what they're capible of...they were just throwing out something that they dont do every show. I liked the acoustic pieces, and really think they were trying to entertain a Pittsburgh crowd which is different from the usual Umphrey's scene. Overall i enjoyed it...

This show was the first time I had ever heard this band. I liked them-they are different. They have a nice and unique sound to them. I liked their style at this show and I got a kick out of the Floyd teases. I especially liked the Fool in the Rain cover. This was a free show, so I have thank the guys in the band for that. And to top it off, one the memebrs is a fellow Pittsurgher as well. Rock on!

Subject: A good UM addition
I actually bought this from the website, now I wish I would have downloaded from here! The quality is nice.

I disagree with the review that states it's a lackluster show. It's just a different flavor - more mellow, not the all out rock show. It adds some good variety to any UM collection. I especially dig the Pink Floyd teases during the acoustic jams. Baylis's voice is a bit hoarse here and there, but acceptable.

I really just got turned on to Umphrey's McGee
( what rock was I living under ). The Jimmy Stewert ( w/ lyrics ) is one of the most emotional versions I have heard. It alone is worth the download.

Subject: not that good.
The sound here is pretty good but nothing to get all excited about.
I understand the enthusiasm about a show with some acoustic numbers and so on, but the performance seemed lackluster to me. Also Baylis' voice is a bit hoarse.

In general, there are much better Umphrey's shows on the archive.

This is an excellent audience recording. You will not be disappointed with the sound quality on this one at all. Good job Bean.

Subject: Great show
Ok I'm a little biased becuase after being a fan for 6 years this was my first UM show (not sure myself why).

But I'm so glad this show came on the archive and especially with such good sound quality. The weather was perfect, the show was free and the acoustic songs the first third of the show was a nice sounding treat.

Definately pick this up!
